• Do I need a building permit to put a storage shed in my back yard?

  Yes, you will need an approved Building Permit as well as a Zonning Permit to construct a storage shed or any other accessory structure. • May I operate a business out of my home?

  Certain businesses may be approved as *Home Occupations*. You must have an approved Home Occupation Permit from the Planning Department in order to obtain a business tax certificate from the Finance Department and legally operate a business out of your home.
